Candles in a glass votive that were sold exclusively at Dollar Tree stores have been recalled due to an issue with high flames that can cause the glass to break or ignite the wax.

Sure Scents 2-1 Peaceful Stream/Moonlit Waves Candles from Adco Trading Inc. out of Missouri City, Texas is recalling approximately 142,740 of the candles.

According to the recall notice on the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission website, "The firm has received two reports that flame height reached above the glass, causing the glass to break. No injuries have been reported. "

The $1 candles were sold at Dollar Tree stores nationwide from July 2020 through September 2020.

They are about "2½ inches tall with the powder blue color wax encased in a glass votive," according to the recall.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission recommends that you should not use this candle if you have one. Contact Dollar Tree for a full refund.
