reacHIRE, a local career re-entry program for women, will offer an information session this month with details about opportunities for those who have worked in the tech sector.

The information session with Fidelity Investments will include a discussion about the kinds of roles available and a Q&A with women who have successfully transitioned back to work at Fidelity.

I've written about reacHIRE before. The program gives women a chance to refresh their professional skills and take advantage of career coaching and assessment. It also matches them with a paid project assignment at a local company. Groups of 15 to 20 women take part in the program together where they learn from each other and serve as a support network even after graduation.

Many participants are moms who took time out of the (paying) workforce to care for their children.

This month's information session is 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., Monday, July 23, at The Frontier, 800 Park Offices Dr. in Research Triangle Park.

It's free, but the group asks that you pre-register, which you can do online.
