Raleigh work crew cuts gas line

Raleigh city employees cleaning a sewer line accidentally cut a gas line between Atlantic Avenue and Wake Forest Road Friday evening. 

Some residents in the area of Mills Street and Bellaire Avenue were briefly asked to leave their homes, according to the Raleigh Fire Department, which responded to the report of a gas leak. They were allowed back in after about an hour.
