Raleigh woman in critical condition after single-car wreck

A Raleigh woman is in the hospital listed in critical condition after crashing her car near Clinton Thursday, North Carolina State Highway Patrol officials said.

Louise Faulkner Allen, 64, lost control of her car about 10:45 a.m. Thursday on Rowan Road near State Road 1933 east of Clinton, crashing into a tree off the right side of the road. Authorities said Allen was flown to WakeMed Hospital following the wreck.

Officials said they had not determined a cause of the wreck.

No other information was released.
