The latest numbers are in, and Raleigh water customers have cut back.

After all-time high demand last week, weekend numbers showed the flow was back to normal.

Customers used an average of about 64 million gallons a day between Friday and Sunday. That was a significant drop from the record-setting 77 million gallons used Thursday.

Raleigh cited 28 customers this weekend for violating the mandatory year-round watering restrictions. All told, 429 violations have been handed out.
