Raleigh police searched through the night Saturday and into Sunday morning for a man who threatened family members with a gun. By 10 a.m. Sunday, they had suspended that search, but asked that residents be on the lookout for Andrew Thomas Browne, 23.

Browne, who is about 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs about 130 pounds, ran into some woods near the intersection of Ridge Road and Lake Boone Trail. He is believed to be armed.

Officers searched for him on foot and from the air, but did not find him. On Monday, police resumed the search near Martin Middle School.

Browne's criminal record lists charges of DWI from June 2009, when he was underage.

Police asked that anyone who sees Browne call Raleigh Crime Stoppers at 919-834-4357 to provide information.
