Raleigh police have released a mugshot of a man they're in search of after a woman was shot and killed on Sunday.

27-year-old Jamila Rogers was shot and killed around 1:30 a.m. on Bragg Street.

Family members said Rogers was the victim of domestic violence, and the shooting happened during an altercation between several people.

The suspect, Stanley Lemont Johnson, was last seen leaving the shooting scene on foot.

Johnson, 44, goes by the alias "Tadpole." Police are asking for the public's help in finding Johnson.

“They stepped up to her and she pushed them back - he told her don’t you ever put your hands on me again," said Rogers' aunt. "She was walking off [and] she turned back around and he shot her."

A memorial has been created for Rogers in the 600 block of Bragg Street. The candles spell "LLJ" for “Long Live Jamila”.
