Raleigh police arrested one man for his connection in a Thursday shooting outside a McDonald's.

Officers arrested Rahmel Tyshon Mullen, 25, and charged him with robbery with a dangerous weapon, conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon and felony conspiracy to commit assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury.

Police are still searching for two other people involved in the shooting around 11:30 a.m. Thursday in the McDonald's parking lot in the 4100 block of Blue Ridge Road, right behind Crabtree Valley Mall.

According to the police, a man was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after he went into the McDonald’s for help.

An employee told WRAL News it was a scary situation, saying he called 911 after the man came in bleeding. The man was rushed to the hospital and will survive his injuries.

Sky 5 flew over the parking lot on Thursday, which was taped off, and drivers were asked to avoid the area due to the active investigation. Dozens of police officers were at the scene.

Capt. J.R. Manson with the Raleigh Police Department said investigators are searching for three men who may be involved. Investigators will also use surveillance video in their search.

"We're still checking the area," Manson said. "When [police] got here, we were able to deploy K-9 and our drone. We deployed bikes on the greenway and conducted a search in the area."

"The community is safe," Manson added. "This appears to be an isolated incident between the two parties. This is not anything the community needs to worry about right now."

Manson told WRAL News the victim and shooters were not connected to McDonald's.

Anyone who believes they may have information that might assist the investigation is asked to visit Crime Stoppers for anonymous reporting options or call 919-996-1193.
