Raleigh man faces rape charge

A Raleigh man faces charges in connection with an allegation that he sexually assaulted a woman last week.

Louis Alexander Everette, 27, of 828 Beverly Drive, was arrested Wednesday on one count of rape and two counts of second-degree sexual offense in connection with the crime.

According to a search warrant for Everette's home, the victim called Raleigh police on March 20, telling investigators that Everette restrained and assaulted her and dragged her into a bedroom to sexually assault her before she was able to get away.
