Raleigh Little Theatre opens its family series this month with "You're a Good Many, Charlie Brown," a musical comedy based on Charles Schulz's beloved comic strip.

The show opens Oct. 25 and runs on select days through Nov. 3 at the Cantey V. Sutton Theatre, 301 Pogue St. A special sensory-friendly performance is slated for 1 p.m., Nov. 9. It's designed for individuals with autism spectrum disorders, sensory sensitivities and other disabilities.

The show features plenty of favorite Charlie Brown characters, including Lucy, Schroeder, Sally, Linus, Snoopy and, of course, Charlie Brown himself.

"I think one of the reasons audiences still love the Peanuts gang after all these years is because the stories are relatable on many levels,” said Matthew Hurley, the show's director, in a press release. “At its heart, we have the story of an underdog in Charlie Brown. Who hasn’t felt like an underdog at some point in their life? Even with all of the times Charlie Brown fails to kick the football or impress the Red-Haired Girl, he doesn’t give up. As Lucy sings during the show, ‘there is reason for hope.’”

Tickets are $17 for adults and $12 for kids 12 and under and on sale now.

This is the first of three family shows for Raleigh Little Theatre's current season. Seussical Jr. is set for Feb. 14 to Feb. 23. And The Jungle Book is on the calendar for March 20 to April 5.
