A Raleigh woman is accused of burning a toddler in her care.

De’sha Shantel Crews, 22, of 5339-F Wayne Street, is charged with intentional child abuse serious bodily injury.

Crews is accused of “administering a high level of second-degree burns to the skin with scalding hot water” to a 2-year-old while babysitting the toddler on March 7, according to an arrest warrant.

Crews, who was arrested Tuesday, is scheduled to face a judge on Wednesday. She remained in the Wake County jail under a $250,000 bond.
