Pullen Park train among Raleigh playground closures this week

Some Raleigh playground news to share for the coming week ...

The Pullen Park train will be closed all day Monday and Tuesday for scheduled maintenance, according to the the city's website. The carousel, however, will remain open for rides. It won't be closed.

Tickets are $1,50 for individual rides. The price went up last month. The park is at 520 Ashe Ave.

And Beaver Dam Playground will be closed temporarily because of recent flooding. "The play cushion was compromised and is a potential hazard to users," according to the city's website. "Our goal is to reopen the playground by Friday, August 31, 2018." The park is at 1500 Nottingham Rd., Raleigh.
