Several groups held a Pro-Palestinian protest at the Raleigh-Durham International Airport on Wednesday afternoon to call for an end to the violence in Gaza.

Approximately 75 members of the pro-Palestinian group Triangle Jewish Voice for Peace staged a protest Tuesday afternoon on a bridge over Interstate 40.

The protest ended before 5 p.m. Wednesday.

The protesters demanded an immediate and lasting ceasefire to the Israel-Hamas conflict, rejecting a mere temporary pause in hostilities. They started their demonstration at Umstead State Park and proceeded to the Harrison Avenue overpass.

They occupied both sides of the bridge, holding aloft placards advocating for a ceasefire.

Protesters also showed a large banner from the bridge's side, making their message visible to passing motorists. The group is adhering to the sidewalks and the ramps leading off the interstate, ensuring that traffic remains unobstructed.
