Power out in Zebulon, Spring Hope after damage to power lines

About 5,000 Duke Energy Progress customers in Zebulon and Spring Hope were without power Tuesday afternoon after an object came into contact with power lines.

The outage began around 11:30 a.m. Power was restored in about an hour in Spring Hope, but some Zebulon customers could be without power for hours, according to Duke.
