Police: Woman found dead on Fayetteville street was hit on head, face

Police have identified the woman whose body was found on a Fayetteville street Friday.

Police said Friday they were investigating the death of a woman whose body was found on a Fayetteville street.

A passerby called 911 at about 11:20 a.m. after finding an unresponsive woman in the 200 block of North Windsor Drive, police said. When officers arrived at the scene, they determined the woman, identified as Tyesha Williams, 25, of the 300 block of Central Drive, was dead.

Authorities said Williams suffered injuries consistent with blunt force trauma to her head and face.
