Police seek help to ID woman's remains found in Durham

In an effort to identify a woman whose remains were found in Durham more than two years ago, police released two sketches Tuesday of what they believe the woman looked like.

Durham police say the remains of a woman depicted in these FBI sketches were found along Carpenter Fletcher Road in October 2016.

In an effort to identify a woman whose remains were found in Durham more than two years ago, police released two sketches Tuesday of what they believe the woman looked like.

The remains were found along Carpenter Fletcher Road on Oct. 22, 2016. Investigators said the remains may have been there as long as 10 years before they were discovered.

The sketches were produced by FBI experts, and investigators said they believe the woman was white, 25 to 35 years old and approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall.

The case is being handled as a suspicious death.
