Police: Missing Kinston teen found safe

A missing Kinston teen was found safe Monday night.

Ashane Lashawn Jenkins, 15, was located as a result of a tip received due to media coverage, officials said.

Joseph Dean Ringo, 47, of 1415 Ekstine Drive, Portsmouth, Virginia was taken into custody and charged with felony child abduction.

No additional information was immediately available.
