One person is in custody after Raleigh police searched for a driver linked to an investigation on Friday.

Shaquell Autry was taken into custody for multiple outstanding felony warrants in the 2400 block of East Millbrook Road.

Raleigh police said Autry crashed into four vehicles, three of which were Raleigh police vehicles. He then left his vehicle and tried to run away from officers near Bason Court.

Autry, 30, is facing multiple charges, including:

  • Four counts - assault with a deadly weapon on a law enforcement officer
  • One count - flee to elude (felony)
  • One count - possession with intent to sell or distribute marijuana (felony)
  • One count - possession of marijuana (felony)
  • One count - maintain a vehicle-controlled substance (felony)
  • One count - possession of drug paraphernalia

The response caused a code yellow lockdown at Millbrook High School. A nearby daycare was also temporarily locked down.

Police initially tried to take Autry into custody around 9:23 a.m., launching a short chase.

Sky 5 captured officers gathered at a neighborhood cul-de-sac on Grove Point Court on Friday morning.
