Police: Man left restaurant, slammed SUV into building

Police charged a man with driving while impaired early Monday after he slammed his SUV into a building on Capital Boulevard.

Ron Manuel Cruz, 27, no address available, also was charged with failure to reduce speed to avoid a collision.

Police said Cruz finished eating at El Pollo Rico Market, at 3901 Capital Blvd., late Sunday, then got into his SUV and drove it into the restaurant.

No one inside the restaurant was injured in the incident, police said.
