Police are investigating a bank robbery Friday in Raleigh.
According to the Raleigh Police Department, the robbery happened around 5 p.m. at a Truist Bank branch inside the Avent Ferry Shopping Center. Police said a man demanded money by passing a note to the teller and ran from the bank with an undisclosed amount of money.

A weapon was implied but not seen by bank employees. Many who visited the shopping center didn't know what was going on when they saw crime scene tape around the bank.
"We were confused," said Jackson Lure, who lives in Raleigh. "We considered it may be a robbery, but didn't know what it actually was."
Sky 5 was over the scene and captured several police officers and a K-9 officer searching behind the shopping center and in the woods. Shoppers said they were concerned that officers didn't find the suspect.
"That's something to be wary of," said Sammy Pedro, another Raleigh resident. "I go here so much, to see this happen is kind of frightening."
Several police cars are outside the bank and searched around the bank with a K-9 unit. Police later released photos of the man they believe is the suspect.
