Police arrest one suspect, still searching for second in July pharmacy robbery

The Raleigh Police Department and the Wake County Sheriff’s Office have arrested one suspect involved in a July pharmacy robbery. The second suspect is still at large.

The Roanoke Rapids Police Department responded to an armed robbery at Spears Pharmacy on Becker Drive on July 24.

Ramon Mondell Anderson, 35, of Raleigh and Andre Deshawn Dixon Jr., 30, of Durham, have been identified as suspects in several pharmacy armed robberies, including Spears Pharmacy.

Anderson has been arrested and charged with offenses in Wake and Johnson Counties including:

  • Possession of a Firearm by Felon,
  • Possession of Stolen Firearm,
  • Armed Robbery, and
  • Conspiracy to Traffic Opium

The Johnson County offenses included charges for:

  • Hit and Run,
  • Resisting Public Officer,
  • Assault on a Female, and
  • Assault by Pointing a Gun

Anderson is in jail under no bond and his court date is scheduled for August 18, in Halifax County for the following charges related to the armed robbery in Roanoke Rapids:

  • Armed Robbery,
  • Conspiracy to Commit Armed Robbery,
  • Trafficking Opium, and
  • Conspiracy to Traffick Opium

Anderson’s criminal history includes:

  • Simple Possession of Marijuana – Wake County in 2016,
  • Flee to Elude – Durham County in 2016,
  • Resist Public Officer – Durham County in 2011,
  • Possession of Marijuana – Durham County in 2009, and
  • Felony Possession of Cocaine, and Resist Public Officer – Northampton County in 2009

Dixon has not been arrested at this time and has warrants outstanding on him for the Roanoke Rapids armed robbery, which include:

  • Armed Robbery,
  • Conspiracy to Commit Armed Robbery,
  • Trafficking Opium, and
  • Conspiracy to Traffick Opium
