Hope Mills police arrested three people on Saturday morning after finding a mobile meth lab in their vehicle at a Walmart, authorities said.

A police officer was patrolling the parking lot of the store around 9 a.m. when he saw a burgundy Cadillac with several people inside who were "acting suspiciously," according to the police department. The officer checked the car's license plate and found the plates were registered to a Ford Explorer.

As the officer talked with the people inside to find out if the car was stolen, he saw drug paraphernalia in the vehicle. The three people were detained while officers searched the car.

Officers found several empty soda bottles with attached hoses. The hoses had a white powdery substance in them, according to police.

Police said the items were consistent with a mobile meth lab, and the State Bureau of Investigation confirmed the findings.

Authorities arrested Robert Len Harr, 29, Ashley Marie Fisher, 26, and Randy Lee Holmes Jr., 25, all of Fayetteville. Each person was charged with several drug-related felonies, including eight counts each of felony possession with intent to manufacture precursor methamphetamine, police said.
