Apex police on May 13 searched the home of man who is accused of using a popular Web site, Craigslist, to meet with and rob a man on April 4.

Gary Rezendes, of 2805 Kentshire Place, is accused of getting into the man's car, pulling a knife and robbing him after they agreed to meet at a Home Depot parking lot at 1000 Vision Drive.

Rezendes got out of the car and ran away after the man gave him $40, according to police. The man attempted to chase Rezendes, but he wrecked his vehicle at a nearby Kentucky Fried Chicken, police said.

Authorities charged Rezendes with robbery with a dangerous weapon and held him on a $50,000 bond.
