Police: 2-year-old left alone in Myrtle Beach hotel room for hours

WMBF reports police charged two Ohio women for allegedly leaving a 2-year-old alone in a Myrtle Beach hotel for hours.

Myrtle Beach police said they were called Saturday to the Sea Crest Hotel in the 800 block of Ocean Boulevard.

Police spoke to the child’s mother, Jonell Nash, 25, and her friend Mylena Dorsey, 26.

Nash told officers she left her daughter unattended in their hotel room for approximately four hours.

Dorsey told officers that Nash was watching the child in the room until she fell asleep. Once the child fell asleep, Nash left her in the room alone.

Police said broken glass was on the bathroom floor. Officers also reported that Nash smelled of alcohol, had slurred speech and glassy eyes.
