Phillips Farms in Cary transforms into a festival-like atmosphere Saturday when it opens to families for its fall season.

More than 55,000 people are expected to enjoy the amenities this fall, which include wagon rides, a cow train, a 1.5 mile corn maze, pumpkin patches and a sunflower field perfect for photos. There are fun activities for kids, like a corn pit and a jumping zone.

There will also be 40 local vendors each weekend throughout the fall season. Visitors can purchase pumpkins, flowers, food from food trucks and alcoholic beverages.

Phillips Farms will offer buy one, get one 50% off tickets its first weekend, Sept. 17 and 18. Saturday hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday hours are 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.

General admission is $15 for ages 2 and up (cash) or $17 for (card).

In the coming weeks, the farm share more details about its Haunted Farm event, coming nights in October.
