Person trapped when tractor trailer overturns in Nash County

No one was hurt Sunday when a tractor trailer overturned on U.S. Highway 64, pinning the driver inside.

According to the Nashville Fire Department, the truck overturned around 11 a.m. near Interstate 95. Officials said the tractor trailer was exiting and going too fast around a curve when it overturned.

Fire officials said the driver was trapped inside truck and units from the Nashville Fire Department, the Rocky Mount Fire Department and Stony Creek Rescue worked to extricate the victim, who was treated by emergency responders at the scene.
