Person hit, killed by train near Hillsborough Road in Durham

A person was killed Saturday after being hit by a train in Durham, police said. This is the second deadly train crash to happen in Durham within a two-day time span.

Durham police said the incident happened behind the CVS near 3573 Hillsborough Road.

The investigation is ongoing.

On Thursday night, a driver was killed when his vehicle got stuck and was hit by an Amtrak train.
