Pedestrian struck, killed by SUV in Durham
Authorities said the SUV struck a pedestrian walking near the fog line in the 4700 block of Hillsborough Road just after 8:30 p.m.
Durham police were investigating after a pedestrian was struck and killed by an SUV Wednesday night.
Authorities said the SUV driven by Jack Kruse, 69, of Durham, struck 74-year-old Loyd McMahon of Durham as he walking near the fog line in the 4700 block of Hillsborough Road just after 8:30 p.m.
Loyd was pronounced dead at the scene.
Hillsborough Road from Sparger Road to Greenfield Court was closed for about two hours as authorities investigated.
No charges have been filed in connection with the incident.
