Pedestrian struck and killed on Jordan Road in Wake County

A pedestrian was struck and killed in a crash Tuesday in Wake County.

The incident took place on the 2200 block of Jordan Road, where both lanes were closed for several hours while State troopers investigated the scene.

According to a trooper on scene, the man who was hit and killed lived within walking distance.

Lanes on Jordan Road reopened around 8:45 p.m.
