Pedestrian hit, killed in Fayetteville

A pedestrian died in Fayetteville Wednesday night after he was hit by an oncoming car on Raeford Road near Hope Mills Road, police said.

Authorities said Danny Combs, 54, stepped out in front of a car at about 8:30 p.m. No charges were filed against the driver of the car, and he was not injured.
