Pedestrian fatally struck in Red Springs

A pedestrian was killed in Robeson County on Thursday morning, police said.

Red Springs Police Chief Ronnie Patterson said the department responded to the intersection of U.S. Highway 221 and Old Lowery Road.

The pedestrian was struck by a vehicle. The driver of the vehicle stopped.

No charges have been filed, Patterson said.
