From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Thursday, July 11, you can enjoy some free samples of North Carolina peaches and peach ice cream and visit with the N.C. Peach Queen. There also will be a peach dessert contest. Winners will take home some cash prizes and bragging rights, according to the event description.
The market's events are free and fun ways to pass an hour or so. While you're there, you can pick up some fresh produce, including peaches, of course, and other yummy items to take home.
The market is at 1201 Agriculture St., Raleigh.
