Passenger dies after crash near Knightdale

A passenger is dead after a crash on South Smithfield Road, near Knightdale.

The crash, which was between a car and a pick-up truck, happened just before midnight on Friday.

Troopers said the passenger was taken to the hospital, but did not survive.

WRAL News is working to learn if anyone will be charged in the crash.
