Parking Meter Thief Makes Off With Lots of Quarters

A thief in Raleigh has a lot of quarters after breaking into 14 parking meters in downtown Raleigh.

The thief made off with more than $100, Raleigh police said.

The parking meters were found Thursday on Salisbury, Edenton and Jones streets, police said. The sides of some machines were missing, while others were knocked over entirely.

Raleigh police police are asking the public for help in identifying a suspect.
