One person shot in attempted burglary on Blue Ridge Parkway

Someone was shot Friday morning on the Blue Ridge Parkway, WYFF reports.

The Buncombe County Sheriff's office is investigating a shooting that took place during an attempted burglary. Deputies said they were called to a possible breaking and entering call.

According to deputies, at some point the gunman opened fire on someone else.

One person went to the hospital.

Deputies are still investigating.
