Hundreds of protesters gather on NC State's campus

Pro-Palestinian protesters on Tuesday marched through the North Carolina State University campus.

A crowd of more than 200 protesters gathered at the bell tower and marched through campus towards Talley Student Union.

While the protest was peaceful, one protester was arrested. The protester – a Greensboro resident and graduate of UNC-Greensboro – said she knew it was a risk, but she was willing to do what ever it takes to "free Palestine."

"I'm not scared, I'm not intimidated," the protester said. "We will be heard by the university and the community, and I stand by that."

The protest comes hours after UNC Police cleared protesters from Polk Place at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Earlier Tuesday, protesters removed an American flag on campus and replaced it with a Palestinian flag. Shortly after the flag was taken down, police entered the quad and forced protesters out. The American flag has since been re-raised on UNC's campus.

The protesters at UNC called on the university to divest from businesses linked to Israel as the country continues its war with Hamas.

The protesters said they are far from finished and they will keep protesting until they get their desired outcome.
