One killed in wreck on Fort Bragg

A driver died in a single-vehicle wreck on Fort Bragg early Friday, authorities said.

The vehicle was traveling west on Vass Road in the northern portion of the post shortly before 7 a.m. when it ran off the road and hit a tree, authorities said. The driver was thrown from the vehicle and died at the scene.

The driver's identity was withheld, pending notification of the family.
