One killed in Morrisville crash

One person was killed late Wednesday in a crash in western Wake County.

The crash occurred at about 10:15 p.m. at the intersection of Morrisville Parkway and Creek Park Drive, along the Morrisville-Cary town line.

Ebraheem Nawaiseh said he was driving toward Davis Drive on Morrisville Parkway when he heard a loud boom behind him, so he turned around and drove back to the crash site. He and others at the scene tried to help one of the drivers and put out a fire that had started in the wreckage.

No other details were immediately available.

The crash remains under investigation.
