One injured in U.S. 421 accident

A person was injured Wednesday evening in a wreck on U.S. 421 in Lee County.

Sanford police said a tractor-trailer jackknifed on the highway shortly after 7 p.m.

A helicopter took the injured person to Duke University Hospital for treatment.

More details, including the identity of the victim, haven't been released.
