Man arrested for deadly shooting on Rock Quarry Road near Dollar General

At 1:11 p.m., the Raleigh Police Department responded to a report of a person shot in the 5400 block of Rock Quarry Road. Officers found Steven Andrea Jones ll, 28, suffering from a gunshot wound. Jones was transported to the hospital, where he later died.

Person injured in shooting walks into Rocky Quarry Dollar General

A man has been arrested in connection with a deadly shooting that happened Saturday on Rock Quarry Road in Raleigh.

Montravius Malik Montgomery, 29, has been arrested and charged with murder and possession of a firearm by a felon.

Saturday at 1:11 p.m., the Raleigh Police Department responded to a report of a person shot in the 5400 block of Rock Quarry Road. Officers found Steven Andrea Jones ll, 28, suffering from a gunshot wound. Jones was transported to the hospital, where he later died.

This incident is now being investigated as a homicide.
