Shooting in Fayetteville leaves one dead, one injured, juvenile charged

A juvenile has been charged with first-degree murder in connection with a shooting in Fayetteville on Saturday night that resulted in one death and one injury.

Cumberland County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to a shooting at 8:47 p.m. on the 200 block of Indian Drive in Fayetteville.

Through investigation, it was discovered two adult victims were shot.

One victim was transported to a local hospital with injuries.

The other victim Darian Dale Barton, 21 was pronounced dead at the scene.

A juvenile suspect has been charged with first-degree murder and is in the custody of the Department of Juvenile Justice.
