One dead in Fayetteville crash

A man is dead after a two-car crash Saturday afternoon in Fayetteville.

Fayetteville police responded to the crash just before 1:30 p.m. on Ramsey St. and Summerchase Dr. involving a 2006 Ford Mustang and a 2006 Mazda 3. 

Kevin Fields, 23, was pronounced dead on scene. The other driver, Adrienne Walker, 22,  was taken to the hospital and was listed in critical condition Saturday night. 

The investigation revealed that the Ford Mustang, driven by fields, was traveling north on Ramsey St. when he lost control and veered into the southbound lanes. He was then hit by the Mazda driven by Walker. 

No other information was made immediately available. The investigation is ongoing.
