A Hillsborough woman is accused of overbilling Blue Cross and Blue Shield by more than $115,000 for nutritional counseling sessions she never held, the state Department of Insurance announced Friday.

Felicia Louis Rocchi, 52, of 406 N. English Hill Lane, faces three counts of obtaining property by false pretenses.

Insurance department investigators said that Rocchi submitted falsified insurance claims totaling $129,448.20 for 7,337 15-minute counseling sessions. Instead, investigators said, she had conducted only 931 counseling sessions valued at $13,221.40.

Rocchi was processed at the Chapel Hill Police Department and released under a $10,000 unsecured bond.
