The No. 8 Seventy-First Falcons stayed perfect on the season as they cruised to a blowout 40-0 win over their conference rivals from Cape Fear at home on Friday night.

The Falcons got a big game from Anthony Quinn Jr, who entered play with 477 rushing yards and 9 touchdowns on the season.

Quinn Jr. put the Falcons up 20-0 at the halftime break with second-quarter touchdown runs of 9 and 10 yards respectively.

The Falcons kept pushing in the third quarter, putting the game out of reach with two scores in quick succession.

Deandre Nance completed a 22-yard touchdown pass to Julius Riley to make it 27-0.

On the ensuing Cape Fear drive, Raymond McCray came up with a 32-yard pick six to make it 33-0 just 18 seconds later.

Quinn Jr. put the icing on the cake in the fourth quarter with his third touchdown of the night from 49 yards away

Seventy-First is certainly in contention for the conference championship, but a showdown with No. 4 South View on October 12 looms large.
