Durham police are looking for information that will lead them to an arrest in a shooting this weekend in which a 52-year-old Charlotte woman was injured.

The shooting happened at about 10:35 p.m. Saturday in the parking lot of the One Hop convenience store at 2021 Guess Road.

The victim was sitting in the back seat of a car parked in the parking lot when she was shot in the neck, police said.

She was taken to Duke University Hospital for treatment of what did not appear to be life-threatening injuries, as of Monday morning, police said.

Another woman was in the car, but she was not injured, police said.

Officers do not have a description of the gunman or a suspect vehicle, at this time, police said.

The victim’s husband said he was getting out of their car when he heard several gunshots. He told investigators that looked and found that both back passenger windows had been shattered and his wife hurt.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Durham Police Department at 919-560-4910, extension 29283, or Durham Crime Stoppers at 919-683-1200.

Crime Stoppers pays cash rewards for information leading to arrests in felony cases and callers never have to identify themselves.
