Car is clue to Fayetteville slayings

Fayetteville police are looking for a man and a car linked to the deaths of two women Sunday morning.

Police found Karen Mosby, 47, and Betty Pettigrew, 69, at 6443 Brookshire Road around 10:30 a.m.

Police spokesman Dan Grubb would not say how the women died, but said the man police are looking for may be armed with a high-powered weapon.

Police asked for help from from the public in locating Tarae Lamont Mosby, 29, who also goes by "Ray Ray." Police are also looking for a car missing from the home – a silver Nissan Sentra with N.C. license plate ZXW-9420.

Grubb asked that anyone who sees the car or Tarae Mosby call 911.
