Knightdale family faces murder charges

A Knightdale father and son charged with murder were booked Wednesday into the Wake County jail.

Police in Georgia arrested Rajal Amed Wisdom Jr., 22, and Rajal Amed Wisdom Sr., 45, a week ago. The pair and Mariah Wisdom, 17, played roles in a shooting March 21 in Raleigh.

The Wisdoms, all of 101 Elmridge Drive in Knightdale,  face charges of first-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder.

Police said the suspects targeted Kalife I. Johnson, 19, who sources said was in a romantic relationship with Mariah Wisdom. They shot him and another man, Nigel J. Ellison, 18, at the intersection of Skycrest Drive and Southall Road in Raleigh.

Ellison was pronounced dead at WakeMed, authorities said. Johnson was treated and released.

Mariah Wisdom was already in custody. Her father and brother were extradited from Georgia Wednesday.
