Canes fans prepare for Game 6

The Caniac-nation turned out to watch their team on Sunday night force a game seven against the New Jersey Devils.

The Carolina Hurricanes faced elimination, but fans at the RBC Center were confident their team would survive to play another game.

“I expect us to win ferociously,” fan Judy Moore said before the game started.

Mike Floyd was among the fans who headed to the RBC Center parking lot on Sunday afternoon to prepare for the game. It was a week of tailgating for  Floyd, who said he also tailgated for Thursday night’s at the Jimmy Buffett show.

During the game Carolina fans declared war on Devils’ goalie Martin Brodeur – who has managed to make this series quite tough for the Canes.

Moore hoped the Canes would “get in his face.”

Devils’ fans in attendance were not pleased with the anti-Brodeur spirit. New Jersey fan Aaron Mellow declared Brodeur the “number one goalie of all-time.”

“I think he’s a good goalie, but he’s not good enough for us,” Canes’ fan Alex Daniel said.
