Boy reports seeing sexual image on cell phone

A Wendell woman indicted Tuesday on an indecent liberties charge involving a 9-year-old boy told his guardian she was trying to teach him about sex education, according to a search warrant returned this week.

In an affidavit they wrote to justify why they wanted access to Trecia Annette Hodge's cell phone, investigators say the boy told them that Hodge asked him to use the phone to take a photo of her vagina.

Hodge told authorities that the boy saw photos on her cell phone, but then changed her story to say he walked in on her while she was taking the photos of herself, the affidavit states. She told investigators she left the phone open on the bed when she left the room and returned to find the boy looking at the photos.

The alleged encounter occurred during the Christmas holiday, and the boy reported it to a school social worker on Jan. 15, the affidavit said.

Hodge, 36, of 7305 Buck Road, was arrested Feb. 4 and charged with one count of indecent liberties with a child. She is out of jail on a $15,000 bond.

Attempts to reach Hodge for comment Wednesday were unsuccessful.
