Goldsboro police seek 'armed, dangerous' murder suspect

Goldsboro police officers are looking for a murder suspect they describe as “armed and dangerous.”

Monterio Devon Newsome, 20, of Goldsboro is wanted for the killing of Craig Doubt III.

Doubt died after being shot, authorities said. Police found him on the ground behind 1722 E. Maple St. on Sunday. He died Monday after being taken to Wayne Memorial and Pitt Memorial hospitals.

As a result of the investigation, police named Newsome a suspect and issued a warrant for his arrest. He had not been caught as of Tuesday morning.
